Tatu

Tatu was one of 25 puppies. The litter, as you can imagine, was considered to be somewhat of a miracle and sadly the mother bulldog passed away from exhaustion leaving all her babies, all male, to fend for themselves. The human caretakers lovingly accepted the task of feeding each puppy a nutritious mixture approximating mother’s milk. They noticed that one of the puppies had a birthmark of a heart on his side and decided to name him “TATU.”

As Tatu opened his eyes for the first time, he was struck at all the colors and beautiful surroundings. All his siblings thrived. Playtime was great fun especially running in the grass!

One by one the human caretakers found forever homes for all the puppies except Tatu. He was the largest of his siblings and even as a baby he would waddle to his food bowl and gobble all he could hold. His tummy hung down and even dragged on the floor. He seemed to grow bigger every day.

The caretakers took to Tatu and decided to keep him in their loving home and give him a beautiful life that he deserved.
