Random Tales from the Top, the upcoming exhibition at Bowersock Gallery, features an exquisite collection of fine art from five preeminent painters and a sculptor.
These artists and their work have very little in common but for the skill level of each and the beautifully rendered quality of the work. This truly is a collection created for the sheer joy of experiencing the broad range of artistic visions and unique styles of individuals at the top of their game.
The exhibit opens Friday, July 5th, with a reception from 7-9 pm, at Bowersock Gallery, 371 Commercial St., Provincetown, MA, and runs through Tuesday, July 16th.
Exhibiting artists include the gallery’s stable painters Carey Armstrong Ellis, Noriko Fox, and Brittany Haynes, along with sculptor Helene Bess. News: Bowersock is pleased to hail the return of Todd Bonita!
Random Tales will include landscapes, seascapes, still life works, animal sculptures, florals, and sea life; materials include found objects, beads as finishes, oils, and acrylic. The exhibit's subjects are all over the place running the emotional gamut, hilarious to somber, from story-telling toys and pleasing settings to evocative pieces that include everything from electrifying ceramic cows to tranquil goldfish.
Bonita's work will feature a mix of his plein-air coastal New England landscapes, and his highly sought-after sea-based images. Todd has long been a favorite with the gallery clientele for his rich, emotionally charged paintings of small vessels. He is a consummate master storyteller at the canvas; whether creating a boat adrift or one manned by a sole oarsman, these are not static images. They all have a way of evoking a mix of wistful longing and sublime tranquility.
The Front Room will feature the gallery's stable of artists, including new pieces "teasing" upcoming exhibits slated for the Featured Gallery, later in the season. More News: the gallery is excited to present works by sculptor Anthony Alemany, the latest artist to join the Bowersock stable!
