Biography:
Paul Beckingham was born and raised in England, and after graduating with a B.Sc Physics, relocated to the United States in 1986. He worked in the software industry, healthcare, finance, and research while slowly building skills in watercolor and oils. In 2021 he switched to full-time artist.
His work can be found in private collections in the US and Europe and has won several awards at a variety of exhibitions, including 1st Prize, Juror’s Prize, and many merit awards and honorable mentions.
Paul is currently working out of his studio in Watertown, MA, exploring the combination of natural illumination and dramatic contrast in flowers, moody still life work, and landscapes in extraordinary light.
