Palmer has exhibited in many museum shows, art centers and fine galleries throughout the United States and Canada and his paintings are part of several museums' permanent collections. Collectors and critics alike have given his art much praise and serious attention.

Many of Palmer's works have an abstract quality that makes them intriguing. The architectural pieces are wonderful studies in perspective, shadow effects, horizontal and vertical lines and broken geometrical shapes, always in a deliberately subtle color palette.
