Darlou Gams, a native of southern Idaho, recieved her BFA, Summa Cum Laude from
Art Center College of Design. After graduation she enjoyed success as an artist
and illustrator before transitioning to a full time fine artist.
With her illustration experience as a foundation, she uses the figure and
the landscape as a canvas to explore color, design, shape and texture. Influenced by
tonalists Inness and Eaton, Darlou adds a contemporary perspective, weaving
color and light to create a modern interpretation of the landscape.
"We live only to discover beauty. All else is a form of waiting."
